The 2016 Sharing Meeting was successfully held at GETCH Multimedia Room on the afternoon of Monday, 26th September 2016. Distinguished guests came to our sharing meeting including Anna and her Colleagues from Flex, and Ben Strong¡¯s friend Hongkun Xin. Principal Hu, Ben Strong, teachers and Grade 16, 15 and 14 students of GETCH also attended and were all very excited for it. Let¡¯s go and review.

The host, Aaliyah Chen, welcomed all the attendees and expressed her gratitude to all the supporters with her sweet voice. During the summer holiday of 2016, three Projects were successfully held including the 4th Hire Reach Internship Project, the 9th Discover Yourself Summer Camp and the 6th Rural Education Aid Program, which is like a bridge that connects GETCH students and other participants with society. Each team gave feedback for the projects today.

Firstly, the interns from GETCH shared their feelings about their jobs. Olivia Ou and Katherine Fan worked at Flex Zhuhai and Melchers Guangzhou, respectively. Both of them are from Grade 14 andgave more detailed information about what they did and what they learned from their jobs. Then, Ana Deng, Jessica Wu and Candice Chen also shared a short description of their summer internships. Actually, I also joined the Internship Project during the summer holiday. It was my pleasure to work at Valeo Fiv Financial Department Foshan. In August, I got up before 6:00 am to go to Foshan and went back to GETCH at 8:00 pm every day. It was tiring but I was quite happy.I learned a lot from my job and my colleagues. In short, all the interns enjoyed their internships.

Turning next to the Flex Introduction Section, Anna, the human resources manager of Flex, introduced Flex with Visual Aids, like PowerPoint and video. After sharing her experience, we GETCH students knew more about that company and were very interested in it, including myself. We liked the working environment and treatment at Flex.

Thirdly, we moved on to the Discover Yourself Summer Camp report. This was a project that supports the disabled activists to improve themselves and promote more people from different fields to join in the movement of making the disabled¡¯s lives better and building a friendlier society together. I strongly agreed with it so I participated in that Disabled Leadership Project this summer holiday. I was proud to be a volunteer in the Discover Yourself Summer Camp. The members of the leader team made a video to explain the project. We know that the 2016 Camps were organized successfully in partnership with local disability organizations in Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, and Dalian. It was amazing work. I loved the way these camps so often bring people together to work as part of a team. We enjoyed it so much.

Fourthly, the leader of the 6th Rural Education Aid Program gave feedback to us. They went to Hubei Province to be teachers and help students aged 3 to 16. They shared their experience of teaching. We knew that the kids love them very much. They did a really good job.

Finally, it came to the end of the Sharing Meeting. Aaliyah invited both Ben and his friend, Hongkun Xin who was good at Taiji, and they delivered a speech of sharing the feelings they had. They were super surprised at what the team members did during the summer vacation.

Wow, all the team members did their best and performed extremely well. I have high expectations for these kinds of projects. All the best to the projects and all the supporters next year.
