Mentor Orientation meeting held successfully

With the supports from all social strata, the first periodic activity of Empower Women with Disabilities Project, Mentor Orientation meeting, was held in China hotel on September 24. There were totally 25 participants who are GETCH students and alumni.
 
There were two workshops in the morning, one is Inclusive dance and the other is tea skills. The mentor of inclusive dance, Wangding, took half an hour to introduce himself and what is inclusive dance. This sort of dance is different all other dance since it allows all people with or without disabilities to dance. After introduction, he guided mentees out of the meting room to experience the dance. Afterward, the mentors of tea skills used one hour to tell mentees¡¯ tea history. There were also two workshops in the afternoon. The first one was taekwondo workshop and the mentees learned that it is not only good for us but also enhance our defense from the mentor¡¯s explanation. The second workshop was Meiling¡¯s and she invited several her friends to share experience with us such as fitness, traveling and Indian dance.
 
All people had great time in that day! Mentors and mentees got to know one another and they would have more interaction in next two months.
